Picture Perfect ~~Aglow ~~

This is a very comfortable conference hotel with atmosphere and a unique history. During WW2 it was "The Eagle's Nest" of Quisling.
A few of the rooms are as they used to be, but millions are spent to make it look like it does today.

Who was this Quisling? He was a Norwegian politician. On 9 April 1940, with the German invasion in Norway in progress, he seized power in a Nazi-backed coup d'état. In contemporary usage, Quisling is synonymous with traitor. That's now history and fortunately long ago.

    1. Sadly, there was. Quisling was a traitor, and his name is for ever linked to that.

I spent a weekend there in September. (Private trip.)
